The Meyer Amphitheater is a nearly 10, 000-square-foot band shell located in downtown West Palm Beach, Fla.
The Meyer Amphitheater i nwest palm beach FL hosts special events throughout the year, including 4th on Flagler festivities, Irish Fest, and regular concerts throughout the year.
The amphitheatre, located at 105 Evernia St., can accommodate up to about 5, 000 people depending on usage.
There is lush, soft grass on which to sit and picnic, benches, tables, a walking path, bathrooms, and a tree-lined knoll from which to look into the park or out to the Intracoastal Waterway.
The waterfront Meyer amphitheatre is best suited for musical concerts or dance performances.
It offers 2.4 acres of green space and includes four dressing rooms with vanity lights, two restrooms including showers, power outlets for sound and light.
Outside restrooms are available for general public.
The Myer Amphitheater, opened in 1996 on a site that had previously housed a Holiday Inn, has an interesting history.
The original building on Lake Worth was Hotel Salt Air, built in 1913 by Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Weihe.
It was later sold to developers and demolished in the 1950's and replaced with the Holiday Inn, and soon it became the Meyer Amphitheater.
